A new two-story state-of-the-art animal shelter facility and large animal barn is situated on a 26 acre rural site in Upper Bucks County, PA. The main level area of 11,500 s.f. has public reception, adoption, administration offices, conference and education rooms, veterinary hospital care facilities, boarding/grooming and meet and greet rooms for pet introduction. The lower level area of 5,500 s.f. has receiving, food storage, laundry, mechanical, police drop-off and holding, garage and an indoor exercise/training room. The exterior materials of board and batten siding on a stone accent base bring warmth to the facility in addition to easy maintenance. Heating and cooling are designed to isolate areas by function and has modified solar collection for animal floor slab warmth and hot water usage. Skylights and clear story windows allow natural lighting to interior spaces.
